RGIA abuzz again; footfall on rise
According to the authorities, air travel has been steadily increasing with domestic travel picking up across India
HYDERABAD: After lifting restrictions on international travel by the director general of civil aviation, the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) Hyderabad has been witnessing good footfall. The airport had about 7 lakh domestic passengers and around 1 lakh international travellers during the first half of March this year.
According to the RGIA authorities, air travel has been steadily increasing with domestic travel picking up across India. The number of passengers in a single day from RGIA touched around 53,000 on March 27, which is 109 per cent of pre-Covid daily average domestic traffic.
The airport also recorded the highest number of post-Covid domestic air traffic movement of 374 flights on the same day.
