AP decision on Hyderabad buildings baffles staff
Hyderabad: With the sudden decision of the AP government to hand over its share of the Secretar-iat and other buildings to the Telangana state government, AP officers working in these premises will become shelterless. They have no instructions from their government on where to go.
After the AP administration shifted to Amaravati, the AP Reorganisation department headed by principal secretary L. Prema-chandra Reddy, and some more offices are continuing in the AP Secretariat buildings at Hyderabad. His office and the State Election Commissioner’s offices are located in L. Block. Reorganisation department officers are located in H1 block. The AP IT adviser’s office is located in H Block.
The AP State Election Commissioner’s office was shifted to Vijaya-wada recently, but the Hyderabad office continues in the Secretariat buildings.
Officials are confused whether they should continue at the same place or move to Amaravati. The TS government had agreed to allot two buildings to AP, but it is not clear whether it will allot them within or outside the Secretariat.
