83% aspirants attend APPS Group-1 Mains exam on first day
VIJAYAWADA: The APPSC Group-1 Mains exams started on a smooth note in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday. The exams will be conducted till 10.
Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) chairman Gautam Sawang coordinated the exam from the command control centre on Saturday and APPSC member Shaik Salam Babu inspected the exam pattern in Potti Sriramulu Chalavadi Mallikharjuna Rao College of Engineering and Technology along with NTR district collector D. Dill Rao and other officials.
Salam Babu said that 5,028 aspirants appeared for the examination against 6,455 prelims qualified. The first day of Group -I Mains examinations registered 83 per cent attendance on Saturday at 11 centres in 10 districts across the state.
He further explained that the APPSC is operating a Command Control Room with CCTV footage of all the respective venues in the entire state. Every centre had one chief superintendent and one liaisoning officer. In Visakhapatnam, three liaison officers and two liaison officers were deployed in Kakinada, he added.
