Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA) successfully concluded the highly anticipated ESG Conclave 2023, a prestigious event dedicated to driving positive social and environmental change. This influential gathering brought together industry leaders, experts, government leaders, NGOs and other stakeholders to discuss how together they can shape the future of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. Telangana Social Impact Group(T-SIG) was a key partner in organising the event.
Sri. Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, Principal Secretary, ITE&C Department, Govt of Telangana, graced the occasion as the esteemed Chief Guest, sharing his valuable perspectives on sustainable development and responsible business practices. He requested corporates to funnel their resources through T-SIG for maximum impact and felt corporates should consider long term investments into ESG so that impact is sustainable.
Ms. Amala Akkineni, addressing the gathering urged people to stay minimalistic. Encouraged corporates to work towards wild life conservation and climate change.
The conclave featured two dynamic roundtable discussions that garnered tremendous interest and participation. The first roundtable, titled "Shaping the future of CSR," brought together industry leaders, experts, and stakeholders to explore the transformative power of collaboration and volunteering in corporate social responsibility initiatives. Participants discussed sustainable community development, employee engagement, environmental conservation, social welfare, and shared best practices for effective CSR implementation. The CSR roundtable was moderated by Manisha Saboo, President, HYSEA & VP & Campus Head, Infosys Hyderabad SEZ & Indore.
The second roundtable, "ESG: A Business imperative," focused on the increasing significance of Environmental, Social, and Governance considerations as a critical business imperative. Esteemed leaders from the corporate, NGO, and government sectors exchanged valuable insights and explored ways to integrate ESG principles into core strategies, fostering sustainable and responsible business practices. The ESG roundtable was moderated by Kishore Borra, MD, Energytech Global & Environment intervention leader, HYSEA.
The conclave also featured a NGO Expo, which showcased the incredible work and initiatives of over 100+ NGOs. The vibrant platform provided an opportunity for networking, collaboration, and fostering meaningful partnerships between NGOs and various stakeholders.
The HYSEA CSR & ESG Awards, a highlight of the event, recognized and celebrated HYSEA member companies for their exceptional contributions in the areas of Education, Health & Wellbeing, Environment Protection, DE&I, and Volunteering. These awards honoured innovative and path-breaking initiatives that have made a lasting impact on society.
