Vijayawada: Former Andhra Pradesh minister P. Narayana on Tuesday filed a petition in the High Court to cancel the notice served on him under Section 41-A of the CrPC in connection with the alleged irregularities in the alignment of the Amaravati Inner Ring Road (IRR).
In his petition, Narayana appealed to the court to direct the Andhra Pradesh Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to inquire into the case at his home if the probe was necessary and to allow the presence of an advocate during the course of the inquiry. He said that as he is an elderly person with health problems, his doctors have advised him to stay at home, and that he cannot attend the CID office alone.
The court is likely to hear the case on Wednesday.
