SFI rally wants SI written exams postponed
Kurnool: Students’ Federation of India (SFI) staged a rally here on Wednesday seeking postponement of the main written exams for the post of sub-inspectors in Andhra Pradesh.
The protesters claimed that the time given to them to prepare for the exams is quite insufficient. Speaking on their behalf, SFI district secretary S. Abdullah said it is after four years of struggle that the state government notified exams for 6,511 police constable and sub-inspector posts positions through the police recruitment board.
Candidates said previously, they used to get two to three months to prepare for the main exams. Given the high syllabus load and shortened schedule for exams, candidates said they need more time to adequately prepare for the exams.
The candidates requested state government to extend the exam date by two months, which will be in line with the government's pro-unemployed stance. SFI city president Amar and secretary Sai were among those who participated in the protest.
