Telangana: CID takes up its first land case, books 24 in Old City

Complainant says police did not take action when he approached them.

Hyderabad: As many as 24 persons have been charged by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) with trespassing, cheating and forgery in relation to a parcel of land in Chandrayangutta.

It is for the first time that the CID has taken up land-related cases. Several persons have lost their land to the organised mafia which includes major politicians, private moneylenders and history sheeters.

According to officials in the CID, a case has been registered against Saud Bin Sayeed Boam, Mo-hammed Ahmed alias Sarkari Pasha, Saira Tas-neem, Mohammed Mur-tuza, Mullem Hussain Al- Kaseri, and others, for trespassing on a 380-acre piece of land in Bandla-guda mandal.

“The complainant, Jamaluddin, has made allegations that the accused persons used forged documents to sell the property to some other persons. They forged the signatures of the landowners and sold parts of the land to different people,” said a CID official.

As per the FIR registered by the CID, the complainant directly approached the Chandrayangutta police and reported the activity, but no action was taken against the accused.
