Vellore: VIT University has launched the sale of applications for its engineering entrance examination, VITEEE-2019 for the next academic year for the Vellore, Chennai, Amaravathi (Andhra Pradesh) and Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) campuses. The first form was sold to a student by VIT founder and Chancellor Dr G Viswanathan at the Vellore head post office on Friday. VIT vice-president G.V Selvam was also present, among several other officials from the University and the postal department, which is handling the sale of application forms at its 22 head post offices across the country.
A VIT media release said student aspirants can collect the application forms from the head post offices by paying '1,200 or through DD drawn in favour of VIT for that amount. Those who wish to apply online can visit www.vit.ac.in (online application cost '1,150/-) and also for further details. Last date for applying is February 28, 2019.
The online entrance examinations will be held between April 10th and 21st at 175 centers in 124 important towns and cities in the country and also in Dubai, Kuwait, Qatar and Muscat, said the VIT release.
