Deputy CM Amzath Basha hails Jagan for welfare during bus yatra

Anantapur: Deputy Chief Minister Amzath Basha reiterated that social justice will continue to remain possible only under chief ministership of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, given the CM’s sincerity and commitment.

On the seventh day of the “Samajika Sadhikara” bus yatra of the YSRC, the Deputy CM addressed meetings in Dharmavaram assembly constituency of Sri Satya Sai district on Saturday. His yatra commenced after offering pooja at Lord Chennakesava Swamy Temple. It culminated into a massive public meeting near the tahsildar's office in Silk Town.

Amzath Basha said while late chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy introduced fee reimbursement to bring higher education within the reach of students belonging to marginalised sections, Jagan involved BC, SC, ST, and minority communities in decision making. In Dharmavaram, this came about in the form of empowering weavers.

Speaking on the occasion, minister Gummanur Jayaram hailed Jagan for championing the cause of women empowerment. He pointed out that the government had designed welfare schemes in a manner that money lands up in the bank accounts of females in the household.

“This simple, yet effective move of giving them respect and responsibility, uplifted women and demonstrated their true social and political empowerment,” Jayaram remarked.

Launching a scathing attack on TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, YSRC MLA Anil Kumar said the two are obstructing good governance of CM Jagan in Andhra Pradesh. “Responsibility lies with us to make Jagan the Chief Minister again in 2024,” he stated.
