Visakhapatnam: Divisional railway manager Saurabh Prasad along with assistant divisional railway managers (ADRM) and senior officers conducted a thorough safety audit in the Kottavalasa-Kirandul line on Sunday.
The audit began at level crossing gate no. 19/10 near Shrungaravarapukota, with the goal of examining compliance with numerous safety requirements in gate operations and evaluating the gateman's expertise. Saurabh Prasad interacted personally with the gatemen, reviewing all registrations at the gate to ensure adequate documentation.
The team expanded the scope of the safety audit by moving to the Shrungaravarapukota Station yard, where the focus was on ensuring compliance with safety procedures relating to Over Head Equipment (OHE), points and crossings, rail circuits, and other key components. The purpose of the safety audit was to ensure that safety practices and rules were strictly followed at certain places, such as level crossings and station yards.
