Visakhapatnam: Taking part in the event that commemorated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, featuring children exhibiting their talents in diverse cultural programmes, collector A. Mallikharjuna affirmed the district's dedication to safeguarding the health and well-being of individuals with disabilities.
Mallikharjuna praised the district administration's efforts to foster a healthier and more financially stable living for people with disabilities. Approximately one lakh people in the area are covered by several government health initiatives, which provide financial assistance for their well-being.
The collector recognised the beneficial impact of government activities by announcing the creation of the Sanjeevani Fund to assist individuals in need. He complimented the HULCO Foundation for organising medical camps and promised to fill 37 more positions.
