Vijayawada: Proposals of supplying 24 x 7 purified drinking water in city was under pipe line says Vijayawada Parliament member Kesineni Srinivas (Nani). Kesineni Nani organized a meeting with legislators and city mayor here on Saturday and discussed about the project.
Kesineni Nani addressing media said that city which is in the banks of river Krishna is facing tough time in summer to supply drinking water. Especially hill dwellers are facing tough time for drinking water, he said. The project of supplying safe drinking water will be taken up by Andhra Pradesh Urban infrastructure mission and the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation said, Mr. Kesineni Nani.
Final estimates and detail project report will be finalized soon and first phase of water line works will be taken in the month of March covering 12 divisions in 3 assembly segments in city. We are planning to complete the works by the end of December 2018 says Kesineni Nani. It is necessary to upgrade the 40-year-old underground water lines in city which are getting repairs most often, says legislator Gadde Ramamohan Rao.
