Veerraju demands state to fill up vacant posts in polytechnic colleges

VIJAYAWADA: BJP state president Somu Veerraju demanded that the state government fill up all the vacant posts in the government polytechnic colleges in the state.

In a statement issued here on Tuesday, the BJP senior leader said that 854 posts were lying vacant in the polytechnic colleges in the state as no notification was issued to recruit the staff members in the last six years.

He said that though the AP Udyoga Porata Samiti took up the issue to the notice of the state government on the number of vacancies lying in the polytechnic colleges, there was no response from the government. He asked as to when it would take up recruitment of faculty members in all vacant posts in the polytechnic colleges in the state. He urged the state government not to delay the recruitment as a large number of engineering students who completed their courses were waiting for employment.
