Bureaucrat wants to interview Abu Salem
Bhopal: A bureaucrat in Madhya Pradesh government has sought permission from authorities concerned to have a few sessions with Abu Salem, currently lodged in jail in Maharasthra, to complete his upcoming book Love Demands Blood, revolving around the gangster, an accused in 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, and his “lady love” Monica Bedi.
His application, submitted to the MP government through Guna district collector, has created a stir in the administrative circle here. It is currently pending with Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for clearance.
“I have requested the state to grant me permission to have a few sessions with Abu Salem in jail to study him for portrayal of the protagonist of my unfinished book. I will move the Maharashtra government with a plea to meet him in jail once I get clearance from the state,” Niyaz Ahmed Khan, who is currently serving as Additional District Magistrate of Guna district in Central MP, told this newspaper on Thursday. Mr Khan who has authored four books, all crime thrillers, has finished 300 pages of his book and has left 50 pages to write on the relationship between Abu Salem and his “girlfriend” Monica Bedi.
