NIA arrests 4 men for supplying guns to ISIS module
Hyderabad: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) held a scene reconstruction at Nanded on Monday based on inputs given by the five arrested ISIS supporters.
An official source said that during the interrogation in both the one-to-one and get-together ways, Mohammad Ibrahim Yazdani alias Ibbu confessed about the weapons.
As per details provided by Ibrahim, the NIA teams arrested four suspects from Nanded who allegedly sold country made firearms and deadly weapons to this module. The suspects confessed during interrogation that they had procured firearms for self defence.
The official said that they planned to stage attacks with bombs and other explosives and had procured firearms to protect themselves while escaping from the scene of attacks. “In case they faced any resistance from the public or the police they planned to use the firearms,” the official said.
NIA sleuths have split into teams and are investigating based on confessions by individuals. A team went to Nanded on Monday along with Ibrahim and it would stay there for two more days for nabbing the illegal arms dealers.
Besides Ibrahim, Habeeb Mohammed alias Sir, Mohammed Ilyas Yazdani, Abdullah Bin Ahmed Al Amoodi and Muzaffar Hussain Rizwan are being grilled by multiple agencies.
