Telangana Govt Declares Holiday For Educational Institutions Over Rains
Hyderabad: A holiday has been announced for schools and colleges in Hyderabad on Tuesday due to heavy rains. Hyderabad collector made the announcement minutes before the opening of schools and colleges.

Meanwhile, due to continuing rains, the twin reservoirs Himayat Sagar and Osamanasagar are getting flood water. The two reservoirs are nearing their full-water level. In the wake of IMD's alert on rains to continue for two more days, the officials of the water board raised the two gates of the twin reservoirs by 2 feet at 8 am today. A total of 1373 cusecs of water is being released through the two gates of Himayat Sagar and 442 cusecs of water through two gates of Osamanasagar into the Musi River.
Water board MD Danakishore advised the officials of various departments to be vigilant about the Musi catchment areas.
