Hyderabad: Rachakonda police on Thursday issued a long list of items that would not be permitted into the 39,000-seater Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium at Uppal, where the ICC One Day World Cup starts from Friday.

Three mobile technicians will be deployed at each gate to check spectators’ mobile phones before they are allowed entry

Rachakonda police commissioner D.S. Chauhan said 1,500 personnel had been posted to provide security at the stadium additional forces had been posted at the players-only Gate-1. An evacuation plan was ready for any emergency.

A joint command and control room has been established to monitor CCTV footage from 360 cameras.

SHE Teams, IT teams, bomb disposal squads, sniffer dogs and mounted police forces would be deployed. Vigilance teams would monitor rates being charged by authorised vendors; Vendors and hawkers are prohibited outside the stadium.

Spectators are not allowed to park vehicles on either side of the main road from Genpact to Uppal ring road and Uppal Ring Road to Vishal Mart, Ramanthapur.

Gates to be opened at 12 noon
