Hyderabad: Rohitha Kuthuru ‘spotted’, brother unable to find her
Hyderabad: Eleven days have passed since Ms Rohitha Kuthuru, a 31-year-old IT employee, went missing, and police are yet to trace her whereabouts. It is her brother who has received a lead from one of his friends who claimed to have seen Rohitha early Saturday morning in Secunderabad. The distressed brother has been roaming around Secunderabad hoping to trace his missing sister. Gachibowli police have registered a case and investigation is underway.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Mr Parikshit Katur, the brother of the missing woman and a lawyer by profession, said, “At around 9.30 am on Saturday a person named Deepak, who was a common friend, saw my sister's picture on social media and recognised her. He took my contact from my friend and called me up and informed me about a woman resembling the same person in the picture which that has been circulated on social media, being seen at Patny centre.”
Mr Katur said he rushed to the place and made enquiries of people in the surrounding areas. “The people also recognised her from the photo and informed me about the places where they saw her. I went to Bowenpally and also Tadbund in search of my sister, but it was fruitless. However, along with my friends we have formed a seven member team and are scouting the area to find my sister.”
Around nine people in the area claimed to have seen her. When asked about her condition, a traffic constable who claimed to have seen her, said she looked clean but wasn’t able to speak properly.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, inspector R. Srinivas of the Gachibowli police said, “We have formed teams and are searching for her. We got to know of her presence in Secunderabad. We have informed the north zone police and are constantly in touch with Mahankali police and other surrounding police stations. We have also informed the Hyderabad traffic police about the missing woman.”
