Vilavancode MLA Vijayadharani
Chennai: Congress MLA S. Vijayadharani who was returning to Chennai in an elated mood after getting appointed as party’s All India Mahila Congress general secretary was struck by the tragic news of her husband’s death. Her husband Sivakumar Kennedy, 53, a lawyer, died of heart attack around 4.00 pm on Saturday. The funeral will be held on Sunday or Monday.
Vijayadharani is an incumbent member of Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from Vilavancode constituency. She is also the great-grand daughter of Tamil poet and social reformer, Kavimani Desigavinayagam Pillai. She was the former president of Tamil Nadu Mahila Congress and her elevation to the national post came on Friday.
