Bengaluru traffic police identifies 12 high density traffic areas

Individuals violating the rule would be booked under section 283 (Danger or obstruction in public way or line of navigation) and fined.

Bengaluru: The city traffic police have identified 12 locations as high density traffic areas and measures will be taken to ensure smooth vehicular movement in these areas.

The traffic police have said that they are in touch with government agencies like BBMP, BDA, and Bescom to improve the condition of the roads by addressing issues such as fixing potholes, junction improvements, installation of medians, pedestrian crossings, installation of sky-walk, construction of underpasses and erection of signal lights.

In addition the Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) has instructed all traffic police officers to ensure that no vehicles are parked in these areas. Individuals violating the rule would be booked under section 283 (Danger or obstruction in public way or line of navigation) and fined.

  • Ramana Maharshi Road - Mekhri Circle to Windsor Manor Junction
  • Hudson Circle area; Silk Board junction to Jayadeva flyover
  • Bannerghatta Road (from Dairy Circle to Sagar Hospital)
  • K.R. Puram (from Benniganahalli to Mahadevapura flyover)
  • Old Madras Road (from Double Road to Big Bazaar)
  • Hebbal flyover area
  • Whitefield area
  • Outer Ring Road (from BEL to FTI Circle)
  • Outer Ring Road (from Mahadevapura to Iblur)
  • Mysuru Road and Hosur Road (from Naganathapura Junction to Veerasandra Junction)
