Hyderabad: Telangana folk artist Gaddar passed away at a private hospital in Ameerpet, Hyderabad on Sunday. He was being treated for age related issues.
Gaddar played a prominent role in the Telangana movement. His inspirational songs left a huge influence on the people of Telangana.
Gaddar, who had a great connect with the public, was the most popular figure during the Telangana movement. Tributes have been pouring in from several quarters with cine stars, politicians expressing their shock over the folk singer's death.
Meanwhile, the body of Gaddar has been placed at the LB Stadium in Hyderabad for public to pay their last respects. Revanth Reddy, Seethakka were among the first to reach the venue. People have been rushing the venue to get a last glimpse of Gaddar.
