Ayodhya: Call to maintain peace
HYDERABAD: Hyderabad police commissioner, Anjani Kumar, on Tuesday asked citizens to stay calm whatever the Supreme Court verdict on the Ayodhya issue.
Addressing a meeting of religious heads, volunteers and representatives of various organisations before the Milad-un-Nabi on November 10, Kumar asked people to ensure peace and tranquillity. He said the police is for security and well-being of every citizen.
Any restrictions imposed must be taken in the right spirit and for the well-being of all. The commissioner underlined that every festival must be celebrated peacefully without disturbing others.
He said once the Prophet shortened the prayer when he heard the cry of a baby. This teaches us that we should always care for others.
