CM Jagan on Puttaparthi Visit Today
ANANTAPUR: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will release funds of Rythu Bharosa-PM Kisan scheme at Puttaparthi, the district headquarters of Satya Sai on Tuesday.
This will be the first public meeting of the Chief Minister after the formation of the new district with its headquarter in Puttaparthi.
Rayalaseema regional coordinator and incharge minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy is coordinating with the officials of Satya Sai district to make the arrangements for the Chief Minister’s visit to the city.
This tour of the CM for the Rythu Bharosa programme has gained special attention from the farmer community. They are expecting additional relief measures to enable them to face the severe drought conditions.
The opposition parties have been highlighting the serious drought conditions due to deficit rainfall during the southwest monsoon season in the region.
The state government has declared drought mandals based on reports from the district administrations. The Chief Minister is likely to highlight the state government’s pro-farmer policies and announce additional support to the farmers of Rayalaseema region.
Collector Arun Babu and SP Madhava Reddy have been mindful of the possible protests from TD and other opposition parties in view of the drought conditions. The CPI submitted a representation to the Satya Sai district administration, urging it to allow them to submit a memorandum to the chief minister during the visit at Puttaparthi.
Traffic will be diverted at entry points to Puttaparthi from Gorantla, Kothacheruvu and other parts on Tuesday. The police made it clear that the traders at Puttaparthi will not be disturbed as part of traffic restrictions during the CM's visit.
