HASSAN: A middle-aged person, whose identity yet to be established, allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of the rear wheel of a moving KSRTC bus near a level crossing in Hassan city on Tuesday morning.
The incident happened around 6.30 am and it has been caught on a surveillance camera and the video clipping has gone viral.
As per the footage, the victim was seen impatiently waiting near the level crossing. Just then a KSRTC bus bound for Shivamogga arrives and the person jumps in front of the rear wheel of the moving bus and his head was crushed by the heavy wheels.
The deceased is aged between 40-45 years and police are yet to ascertain his identity. His body has been kept at mortuary while Town police have registered a case and are investigating.
