Anakapalli district police mobilise relief
Visakhapatnam: While Cyclone Michaung poured heavy rains in Anakapalli district, district SP K.V. Muralikrishna spearheaded a concerted effort by district police officers and staff from various departments to provide relief to people and mitigate the storm's impact.
The police collaborated with revenue, health, municipal, panchayat, electricity and other departments in mitigating the suffering of people battered by relentless downpour.
Their primary focus had been to warn people at critical places like culverts and bridges. They also helped clear roads obstructed by fallen trees in Atchutapuram.
Additionally, police warned people living downstream of dams and near overflowing rivulets about the impending threat due to rising water levels.
The district SP has asked people to call 100, 112, or 93469 12724 for any assistance required.
