Over 10 lakh apply for Praja Palana in Adilabad
Adilabad: The administration has received 10,28,794 applications for Praja Palana welfare scheme in the erstwhile Adilabad district. The highest applications were received for Indiramma houses followed by ration cards.
Though applications were invited only for five welfare schemes, but people applied for other schemes as well not mentioned in the official application form. The officials are now busy in tabulation and uploading the information. Now onwards, applications will be received at the Tahasildar and MPDO offices.
According to official sources, during the Praja Palana, 2,83,249 applications were received in Mancherial district, 2,83,262 in Adilabad, 2,80,489 in Nirmal and 1,81,794 in Komaram Bheem Asifabad districts.
District collectors are making serious efforts to enter the information in the applications online till January 17 and computer operators will be engaged for the purpose. According to sources, the officials would go for seeding the individual information furnished in the application with Aadhaar and the phone number provided in the application.
Finally, the state government will create individual profiles. The state government will use the data collected through the applications received during the Praja Palana to implement welfare schemes and also identify tenant farmers along with farmers and their status.
The state government will also obtain information about the land owned by individual farmers. Services of computer operators from the DRDA could be availed for uploading the collected information.
