Develop human resources: Chandrababu Naidu
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday stressed the need for updating human resources to meet global competition. Stating that AP should lead in skill development, the CM said that human resources development should be designed as per the new trends in IT including Fintech, data analytics and cyber security. Addressing secretaries and HoDs here, Mr Naidu said secretaries of industries and HRD should coordinate with the Chief Secretary to organise skill development programmes in areas where the MoUs signed to set up industries in recently-concluded partnership summit in Visakhapatnam.
Mr Naidu named livestock, manufacturing, horticulture, trade, hotel and restaurants, fishing and aquaculture, construction, transport, storage, agriculture, real estate, housing and service sectors as growth engines for the development of the state. He said that infrastructure should be developed in all villages in coming two years and told officials to concentrate on solving decades-old pending issues in villages and initiate steps to improve infrastructure.
Mr Naidu said income of poor villagers should be improved through encouraging dairy farms. He said that the R&B and police departments should work in coordination to utilise the central funds for remote area connecting roads and added that a separate body should be developed to improve roads. Describing the coming Budget as performance outcome Budget, Mr Naidu said that it should aim at integrated development, vision 2019, GVA, Family happiness index, key performance indicators.
He asked officials to start construction of hospitality institute at Tirupati and stressed the need for floating a separate body global institute of excellence in governance. The CM opined that GST will help to develop trader friendly atmosphere. He said that the Central government is heading towards online transactions and there is a possibility of increase in revenue in urban areas with online transactions.
