Vijayawada: Stating that the ultimate goal of the state government was to ensure employment for all, AP Innovation Society CEO Winny Patro said that an app has been launched that will help employers and jobseekers connect easily.
Mr Patro said that the Innovative Society had uploaded the ‘Workruit’ app on Google Playstore on February 28 and it has received tremendous response.
He said that that Workruit connects employers and jobseekers instantly based on relevance enabled by AI, ML and advanced algorithms.
“All you have to do is swipe right and find the next job based on mutual interest. Workruit is available for all companies and job-seekers across the country and has more than 50,000 jobseekers and over 1,500 companies registered on the platform,” Mr Patro said.
Explaining about the way the app works, he said that once a job is posted, AI-enabled algorithm curates the most relevant profiles with the requirements and displays the top profiles to the employers, and best jobs available to the jobseekers. The jobseekers can swipe right to like or express interest in a job or profile, or swipe left otherwise. Based on mutual interest both the parties can instantly connect with each other through the in-app messenger and take matters further by chatting instantly on the app. Employers can schedule interviews through the app as well once a match has been made, he said.
By looking at the scope of Workruit and also regards to clientele, the state government was keen to bring on such an application to empower the people of Andhra Pradesh and connect them to companies across the country so they could find more relevant and better job opportunities, said Mr Winny Patro.
The Innovation Society has also developed a by-product ‘Workruit AP’ where jobseekers and companies can look at opportunities and talent based on location, behaviour, talent and demand areas.
Mr Patro stated that Manikanth Challa, CEO and founder, Workruit comes with a background in product design and has worked in New York and San Francisco.
