Hyderabad: Shaikh Saleh bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim, the Al-e-Talib Imam (priest) of the Holy Mosque Kaba at Makkah in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday stressed the need for universal brotherhood. He was addressing a gathering during a meet organised by the Jamat-e-Ahle-Hadees in the city at Langer Houz. He said the Quran is a doctrine not only for the Muslims but for the entire universe.
In his Arabic address, translated into Urdu, the Imam pleaded against growing element of hatred across the world. The Imam who is also an ex-officio judge of Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia said the Saudi government is for the promotion of universal brotherhood and is making a lot of efforts in this direction.
He added that the Muslim community is facing a difficult time due to lack of unity. Maintaining that all human beings are one, the Imam asked the Muslims to unite by shunning petty differences. He added that Islam forbids violence and appealed to the younger generation to be more tolerant and respectful.
