Vijaywada: Almanac readers favour their own parties

Astrologers predict Jagan, Naidu and Modi win in coming polls.

VIJAYAWADA: At the Panchangam readings which were organised by the respective parties to mark Ugadi, almanac writers and pandits predicted a win for the YSRC, the TD, and the BJP in the upcoming elections.

At an event organised by the YSRC, Pandit M. Ramalingeswara Varaprasad said that Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Shani Mahadasha would end on April 30 and that his Budha Mahadasha would begin then, which will bring upon the YSRC president ‘Brahmayogam’ and ‘Rajayogam’.

He said that because Mr Reddy’s janma lagnam was Kanya, star Arudra, and rashi (zodiac sign) Mithuna (Gemini), which has the ‘Gajakesariyogam’, he will certainly become the Chief Minister after the elections. Siddhantis P. Srinivasa Rao and M. N. Ramana Rao have also predicted ‘Rajayogam’ for Mr Reddy in the Telugu new year.

The BJP celebrated its 39th formation day and the Ugadi festival at its party office in the state. After reading the Sri Vikari Nama Panchangam, Pandit
Lakkavajjula Subramanya Siddhanti said that the BJP would regain power at the Centre because Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s stars are aligned in his favour. He added that although the BJP government could face some trouble later this year, Mr Modi will resolve them with his experience.

The pandit further explained that the planetary position of Andhra Pradesh’s BJP president Mr Kanna Lakshminarayana was in Mahardasha and that this will make the BJP instrumental in the government formation in Andhra Pradesh. Owing to this, he predicted, Mr Lakshminarayana will land a good position.

At the TD’s Ugadi celebrations, Pandit Jyotishyacharya Kasibhatla Naga Venkata Phani Sharma said the government would remain the same following the elections. He predicted that the State government could face a few problems but will overcome them. He added that although there was a likelihood of conflict on the border, the government will successfully resolve it if and when it happens. Additio-nally, he predicted untimely rainfall this summer.

Pandit Sharma went on to explain that Ugadi had started with Amrutha Ghadiyalu which marks an improvement in public health.

He said, “There will be no major change in the lives of the people. There could be some disturbances in central Andhra Pradesh. However, they can be resolved through shanti poojas. The State government’s efforts to increase revenue will prove positive. Modern changes will come in the education and agriculture sectors.”
