Telangana's first Rajashyamala Ammavari temple coming up at Kokapet

Hyderabad: Visakha Sri Sarada Peetham seer Swaroopanandendra Saraswati on Sunday laid foundation for the construction of the first Rajashyamala Ammavari temple in Telangana. The temple is coming up in two acres at Kokapet being built at a cost of ₹ 8 crore.

The seer stated that Telangana state, under the leadership of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, has achieved rapid developments with the blessings of Goddess Rajasyhamla. On many occasions, the Chief Minister also performed the Rajashyamala Yagam.

"At the time of formation of Telangana State, it faced several problems like power crisis and water crisis. But Rao overcame all the hurdles with his devotion towards Goddess Rajashyamala and with the blessings of the Goddess. He sanctioned two acres in Kokapet to build a temple for the Goddess," the seer said.

The Goddess Rajashyamala temple is present only in Visakha Sri Sarada Peetham. The seer said that the temple will be constructed with funds mobilised from devotees.
