Telugu Desam scoffs at RK Roja's remarks
Vijayawada: Telugu Desam state official spokesperson and State Women’s Finance Corporation chairperson Panchumarthy Anuradha alleged that the YSRC is cornering the TD with the anger of not being allowed to grab the Sadavarti lands. She questioned if R.K. Roja doesn't know that out 471 acres of land, 400 acres was grabbed during YSR reign, 20 acres in Kiran Kumar Reddy reign and 20 acres in Rosaiah’s reign.
While speaking to media here on Thursday, she questioned the YSRC what measures were taken to safeguard Sadavarti lands which had 130 years of history, during the 40 years reign of the Congress. Ms Anuradha reminded that if the land value is Rs 1,300 crore as published in in the media, one can keep '1,700 crore in theirpocket and give the government Rs 600 crore for the High Court construction.
She also lambasted the YSRC leaders for possessing benami houses and accused of them of being benamis. Their cars are benami’s and the party itself is a benami party, she alleged. She questioned R.K. Roja who had won with nominal votes of nin, what she had done for the development of Mangala-giri constituency. She questioned if Roja had looked at the roads any day or the drains or even Panakala Swamy temple. She pointed out at the programmes implkemnented by the TD government for the benefit of the handloom weavers. She said that the TD government was striving for the welfare of the back ward classes.
