CM Jagan pays tributes to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar
Vijayawada: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday paid homage to Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on the occasion of his death anniversary. He paid floral tributes before offering his obeisance.
Home minister T. Vanita, social welfare minister M. Nagarjuna, MP N. Suresh, government adviser (Social Justice) J. Prabhakar Rao were present at the programme.
At a separate programme, YSRC leaders paid floral tributes to the portrait of Dr. Ambedkar at the ruling party’s central office in Tadepalli. Minister Merugu Nagarjuna, MPs Nandigam Suresh and Madddila Gurumurthy, MLC Lella Appi Reddy and party SC Cell state president Jupudi Prabhakara Rao were present.
Speaking on the occasion, minister Nagarjuna said the AP Chief Minister is following the path suggested by Ambedkar in all aspects related to administration.
MP Nandigam Suresh said Jagan Mohan Reddy is installing a statue of Ambedkar in the heart of Vijayawada city, which will become a tourist attraction in days to come.
MP Gurumurthy said the Chief Minister has designed the education system in a way that does not discriminate between rich and poor children.
MLC Lella Appi Reddy said Jagan Mohan Reddy is following the path suggested by Ambedkar for eliminating poverty among SCs, STs, BCs and Minority communities.
At a separate programme, Telugu Desam leaders paid floral tributes to Ambedkar at the TD headquarters NTR Bhavan in Mangalagiri.
