Indiramma Rajyam Has Been Established in Telangana: Revanth
HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said that the Congress had established "Indiramma Rajyam" in Telangana, which would fulfill the aspirations of the state’s four crore people.
In his maiden speech after taking oath as Chief Minister at LB Stadium here on Thursday, Reddy slammed the BRS government for decimating democracy and violating human rights. He said that the decision to demolish iron barricades and fencing at Pragathi Bhavan, the CM’s official residence-cum-camp office, was a true liberation of Telangana people.
Reddy declared that Pragathi Bhavan had been rechristened Jyotirao Phule Praja Bhavan and that he would hold a praja darbar at 10 am on Friday.
He said people, intellectuals, employees and all other stakeholders can meet him in Praja Bhavan, air their grievances, share their thoughts and ideas for the effective functioning of the government. He urged everyone to use the platform to bring their issues to his notice for their redressal.
Declaring that the Chief Minister and ministers were not 'rulers' but would work as 'servants' of the people, Reddy said that the Congress has established a "People's government", which will fulfill the aspirations of all sections, including farmers, students, unemployed youth, activists and families of martyrs.
"A Praja Telangana government has been formed today with the support of four crore people and the activists, who carried the party flag during the difficult times," Revanth Reddy said, adding that the government will strive for equitable development across segments and sections.
