KOZHIKODE: Two teachers were killed after their motorcycle rammed a bus at 12th mile near Kunnamangalam National Institute of Technology- Calicut, police said on Thursday.
Identified as Ismail, 55, and Muhammed Thajudheen, 32, they were working at the KC Foundation School, Chennamangallur.
The police released their bodies to families for last rites after post-mortem and legal formalities including registering a case. Motorists complain of rash driving on the NIT-C Road during non-peak hours.
"In the mornings, buses and cars run on the wrong side to overtake others, putting lives in danger," one of them said.
The two were on their way to the school after meeting a friend. They have been part of the school for several years. The police promised strict action against traffic violators.
