On being chased, the shocked fishermen began to return to shore, but the Lankan Navy personnel allegedly smashed one of the boats belonging to one Praveen and damaged it badly, they said.
Rameswaram: The Sri Lankan Naval patrol comprised about ten aqua bikes carrying armed personnel, who opened fire at the Rameswaram fishing boats when they were about 7 nautical miles from Dhanushkodi, according to Clinton, who was among the six men in Brijo's boat.
