TD MP Kesineni Nani Lashes Out at TD High-Command
Vijayawada: The Telugu Desam MP here, Kesineni Srinivas, has expressed his displeasure with the Telugu Desam leadership as he had not been invited to the recent TD annual jamboree, the Mahanadu and for some other event here.
“If I get angry, I will join another party,” the MP said at an event he organised at his office here on Thursday to distribute drinking water supply tankers to several villages in G Kondur mandal with his MP fund.
In a reference to the recent meeting between TD chief Chandrababu Naidu and Union minister Amit Shah in Delhi, he said, “I don't know what they discussed. Naidu’s PA called me to join Naidu’s programmes there and I did so.”
Notably, YSR Congress MP (Rajya Sabha), Rami Reddy had said he spoke to Kesineni because he was a good person. Responding to this, Srinivas said, “Those who do good work for the people will get offers from other parties. However, I have not yet decided about a change of party.
Srinivas declared, “I do not have any position in TD. I am not its official spokesperson. I will be in touch with the BJP, YSRC, Congress and the Left.”
He said the TD constituency in-charges posts are not constitutional posts or positions. “TD state president Atchannaidu came to inaugurate the party office in Vijayawada Central but he did not invite me there. No one called me for Mahanadu too. I had no role in the conclave, as Rammohan Naidu was given responsibility.”
As for the comments against him by TD leader Bonda Umamaheswara Rao and Buddha Venkanna, he said, “The photos of those who commented against me during the municipal elections were also placed on the Kesineni Bhavan building, which is the TD Vijayawada MP’s office and I had worked for the victory of such people during the municipal elections.”
