Ministers violate Chief Minister’s instructions

Ministers appoint those who worked with Telugu Desam ministers.

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s directions have been violated by his own Cabinet colleagues. Against CM Jagan Mohan Reddy’s instructions, around 13 ministers, who worked with the previous TD ministers, were appointed as old staff. After formation of Cabinet, on the directions of the CM, the government’s adviser Ajeya Kallam had issued a circular to all the ministers.

In the circular, Mr Kallam said that CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has suggested the ministers not to appoint anyone who worked with the TD Government in the last five years in their Peshis. He also directed the ministers to inform to the Chief Minister’s office about each and every appointment in all Peshis. Chief Minister’s adviser Mr Kallam clearly mentioned that the Chief Minister has advised to avoid Officers on Special duty (OSD), Private Secretaries (PS) , Additional Private Secretaries and Personal assistants who worked in the Peshis of the previous government.

Sources said that the CM thought that it would have a negative impact on the governance if the present government appoints the officials who worked previously in the Peshis.

But majority of the ministers have appointed old staff in their Peshis against the CM’s written directions. The CMO officials said that they are not very clear whether these ministers have taken prior permission from the Chief Minister before appointing them in their Peshis or not. For example, Dhananjay was appointed as a PS in the finance minister’s Peshi and earlier, he had worked as PS in former TD minister Kalava Srinivasulu’s Peshi. Satyanarayana was appointed as an OSD in the housing minister’s Peshi and earlier, he had worked as OSD in former TD minister Kalava Srinivasulu’s Peshi. Ramachandra Reddy was appointed as an OSD in the finance minister’s Peshi and earlier, he worked as an OSD in former TD minister Paritala Sunitha’s Peshi.

Thirteen ministers have appointed in their peshis, those who worked with the previous TD ministers’ peshis.

CMO sources said that they have received some complaints about the old staff working in the present minister’s peshis. The officers said that they will bring this issue to the CM’s notice.
