Visakhapatnam: CITU state secretary R.K.S.V. Kumar warned the government that the protest against the state government will continue till the services of the contract and outsourced civic workers were regularised. “Government cannot stop the agitations with illegal arrests,” he asserted.
AP Municipal Workers and Employees Federation affiliated to CITU has called for a state-wide agitation demanding the regularisation of municipal workers.
The Federation is demanding hike in the salaries of clap drivers and have demanded a salary of Rs 18,500, engineering workers should be given risk and health allowance along with GO No. 7 implementation, and immediate implementation of the minutes given by the GVMC officials on July 17.
