Low voltage problem in several areas of Hyderabad till noon
Hyderabad: Low voltage was a major complaint in areas of ECIL, Malkajgiri, Kapra, Yapral and Alwal till noon due to the heavy rains, on September 7.
All the three phases were not working and calls to the local fuse office were not possible. It was constantly engaged.
A senior electricity department official asked those who reached out to him to complain on 100 or on social media if the local office was not responding.
These areas face constant load-shedding and there are frequent complaints of power disruptions.
Subba Raju, a resident in Yapral, says, "Low voltage means water pumps, washing machines and other utilities will not work. Since morning is the time for these works, this caused a lot of inconvenience. The problem is also that there is no answer from the office as to how long it would take to restore the supply."
With many people working online from home, energy conservation is important, so that the inverters can provide power for a few hours.
The power was completely restored by afternoon.
