Khammam: TRS changes its campaign style
Khammam: Though the 60-day time for election day may result in increasing the poll expenditure of TRS candidates, many of them are planning to make use it to interact more with voters. But the ample time has forced them to change their style of poll campaign. They want to cover one or two villages in a day and spend more time in the ward, division or habitation interacting more with the voters.
TRS candidates commenced their campaign one month back and have another two months to go. A candidate spends more than Rs 1 lakh per day on transport and other expenses and it is a burden on the ruling party candidates contesting from reserved segments.
Khammam TRS candidate, Puvvada Ajay Kumar said, “I will use the time to spend more time with the voters and meet more people. We, my wife and I, decided to meet face to face at least one lakh voters this time.” Many people are giving their requests and applications to the TRS candidates as if they were the sitting MLAs.
For Aswaraopet and Pinapaka assembly candidates, it will be a blessing in disguise because the habitations in these segments are located in distant places.
More time is needed to visit each and every village. Pinapaka TRS candidate, Payam Venkateswarlu, said, “The villages in Gundala mandal are in dense forest areas and one day is required to visit a village. We can cover more villages with the ample time available.”
