Vijayawada: The state government has changed its earlier transfer order concerning the executive officer of the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam, located atop the Indrakeeladri Hills in Vijayawada. The government on Sunday posted Srikalahasti revenue divisional officer (RDO) K.S. Rama Rao as the new EO of the temple.
Dasara Sarannavaratri festivities will be conducted atop the Indrakeeladri from October 15 to 23. In this regard, the temple authorities and the endowments department have been sprucing up arrangements. In this backdrop, the state government had transferred executive officer D. Bhramaramba and appointed deputy collector Srinivas as EO on October 1. Srinivas, who works in the health, medical and family welfare department, has not been relieved from his post.
