Min Zameer Suggest Suspension of Officials in Hospet Water Contamination Incident

Hosapete: In the aftermath of the incident in Kariganur Ward of Hospet Town Municipality, where one woman lost her life and 35 individuals fell ill due to contaminated water, Housing and Minorities Welfare Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan, who is also the in-charge Minister of Vijayanagara, has recommended the suspension of three officials.

The three officials include Town Municipality Commissioner Bandi Vaddar, Assistant Executive Engineer Satish and Junior Engineer Khaji. Minister Khan, in a letter to the Deputy Commissioner, has also directed to initiate an inquiry into the incident.

Maintaining active communication with Deputy Commissioner Divakar, Minister Khan has provided detailed instructions to prevent such incidents from recurring.

Emphasizing the significance of water supply, underground drainage systems, and overall cleanliness, the officials have been directed to exercise extra caution in these critical areas.
