KOZHIKODE: The two-day international conference on ‘Global Health and Medical Tourism’ organised by Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode in collaboration with Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR) Jaipur, concluded here on Saturday.
The event commenced on Friday with a plenary keyn-ote address by Prof. Jagdish Sheth. Prof. Dr. Angappa Gunasekharan, Dean and Professor, The School of Bus-iness & Public Administ-ration, California State University also addressed the session.
The second day of the event started off with a visit to the business museum of IIM Kozhikode and was followed by a heartfulness session by Mr. Kamlesh D. Patel, Spiritual Leader, World Teacher of Heartfulness. Plenary addresses were given by renowned personalities of health and wellness sector.
Other stalwarts such as Dr. Narayanankutty Warrier, Medical Director & Sr. Consultant Medical Oncolo-gy, MVR Cancer Centre and Research Institute, Kozhiko-de along with Dr. T. Sreek-umar, Vice-Principal & Prof-essor, Vaidyaratnam Ayurv-eda College, Ollur, Thrissur addressed the audience.
The Global Health and Medical Tourism conference aims at creating a platform for industry and academia to interact, deliberate and create knowledge resources that will be useful to all stakeholders as well as will contribute to the growth in the sector.
