Hyderabad: CBI registers case against Shadan Institute
Hyderabad: A case was registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation against Shadan Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Institute (SIMSTH & RC) and officials of Medical Council of India New Delhi and others for alleged criminal misconduct.
According to the FIR of the CBI, two clerks Sandeep Kumar and Santosh Kumar both working with the MCI New Delhi conspired with Sushil Kumar, a private person, and demanded and obtained a bribe of Rs 4 lakh from Shadan Institute of Medcial Sciences and Teaching Hospital and Research Centre in order to show undue favour in matter pertaining to first year registration of MBBS students with MCI for academic year 2016-17.
The FIR stated that the Medical Council of India raised two queries after going through the printout online filled information for admission furnished by the SIMSTH & RC.
The MCI wanted to know about how five candidates who scored less than 50 per cent in Neet and the other why no admission made in government quota as per the monitoring software entry.
