Mysuru: Bride disappears from wedding hall, groom marries relative
Mysuru: High drama prevailed at a wedding hall in Nanjangud on Sunday, after the bride went missing and the groom was married off to one of his relatives!
The bride reportedly disappeared from Sri Neelakanteshwara wedding hall in Hullalli on Sunday morning. The groom was then married to his paternal aunt’s daughter, who was present in the same venue, a few hours later.
The groom, Narayana, son of Govinda Nayaka and Chandramma, of Marballi village of Mysuru district was to marry Rekha (name changed), daughter of a couple hailing from a village in H.D. Kote taluk. They were reportedly engaged six months ago.
The bride arrived at the wedding hall on Saturday evening and taken part in all the rituals held till Saturday late night. However, around 7 am on Sunday she went missing.
The family members carried out a search and after she was not found even at 11 am, the parents of the bride reportedly cancelled the wedding and moved out of the wedding hall.
The groom later married his relative some time later. And the guests did not miss the wedding lunch!
