No special focus on Hassan in state Budget, says HD Revanna
Hassan: Minister for Public Works H.D. Revanna on Sunday asked state BJP president B.S. Yeddyurappa to visit Hassan and see for himself the projects which have not been completed for want of funds.
“If he is not convinced, the funds earmarked for Hassan district in the state budget could be withdrawn,” Mr Revanna told the media here.
Mr Revanna said some projects taken up in the district had been pending for more than 10 years for lack of funds. “Hassan has not got any special attention in the state budget as is being alleged,” he added.
Referring to the allegation that the farm loan waiver scheme will benefit only farmers from the Vokkaliga community, he said, “There are poor farmers in all communities and it is not right to give the loan waiver scheme a caste angle.”
Mr Revanna denied reports that he was shuttling between Holenarsipur and Bengaluru daily.
He said, “I live in my sister's house in Bengaluru and whenever time permits, I visit my hometown Holenarsipur.”
