THANJAVUR: A job fair will be jointly organised by the Thanjavur district administration, Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihood Mission, National Urban Livelihood Mission and Thanjavur district employment office at Rajah Serfoji Government college here on July 13, Saturday.
Over 100 leading private companies, hospitals and hotels will recruit 5,000 persons in the job fair, said Mr. A. Annadurai, Thanjavur district collector on Monday.
Job seekers should be in the age group of 18 to 35 and should have completed tenth or 12th standards, diploma, degree and industrial training etc, he said.
They should bring their educational qualification certificates, bio-data, ration card and photo etc to the job fair.
Overseas Manpower Corporation is putting up a stall to help youth to know about opportunities abroad.
District employment office will open a stall and youth can register, renew their names in the stall. Youth can also register in a stall for skill development.
The collector appealed to the youth to make the best use of the opportunity and take up jobs of their choice.
