Vijayawada: Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan pointed at the necessity to establish power banks in the state. He said the state is implementing power reforms but there still is need for power bank with scope of generating solar energy. The Guv who had come to the state after a long time participated in the inauguration programme of Vidyut Soudha, AP Transco and Genco office buildings along with the chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday in Gunadala. He suggested naming the facility as Samruddi Bhavan. He said he will settle the power issues pending since bifurcation between the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh by bringing the two chief ministers face-to-face for discussion. He lauded chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu as man of transformer and suggested taking measures to encourage the cashless transactions.
The Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said AP power sector had made its mark by constructing its permanent office building post bifurcation. Mr Naidu said entire power can be controlled from the centralised system. Speaking on the occasion Mr Naidu claimed the foreseen reforms in power sector are being implemented across the nation. And pointed out that he had suggested carrying small computers to customers for providing bill earlier. He mentioned the electricity sector reforms aren’t properly implemented during 2004-14.
Mr Naidu said while bifurcation there is 22 million units’ electricity deficit and mentioned in 2013-14 the losses is reduced to 9.3 per cent. He also said about supplying of street lights and LED lights. For electrical storage capacity the state government had tie-up with Tesla Company of America said he. And mentioned about to initiating for second power reforms and there are chances of producing solar power at cheap. He mentioned about giving incentives to officials if given good ideas to reduce the losses in power sector without increasing the charges. The chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu had met the guv, who had come on two days tour in a private hotel and discussed issues for long time.
