Agri Gold assets to be valued
Vijayawada: The Agri Gold agents and customers across the state have started assessing the value of the properties of Agri Gold, on the High Court direction to the advocate generals of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. The High Court has asked advocate generals of both the states to find out the exact market value of the attached properties of Agri Gold. However, the customers and agents are worried about the statements of the CID authorities, over court cases. In fact, the CID has filed chargesheets against Abhaya Gold, Akshaya Gold and Agri Gold only because of the initiative from the victims, and now the victims are seeking cooperation from CID in assessing the exact value of the Agri Gold properties.
Following the complaints from the victims and agents of Agri Gold, that the company has shown exaggerated figures in the market values, which are in contrast to the exact prices of the lands and properties of Agri Gold, basing on these observations, the High Court has asked the advocate generals of both the Telugu states to find out the reality. Meanwhile, the advocate of the petitioners also guided the petitioners to asses the exact market value of the identified 26 properties in various states.
Speaking on the issue, the Agri Gold Customers and Welfare Association (ACAW) president B. Viswanath Reddy said that their advocate has asked them to find out the genuine value of the properties attached, and submit a detailed note the High Court through proper channel. “This will give a clarity as to what is the exact value,” Mr Viswanath Reddy said, and added that in case their observations are matched with AP and TS advocate generals’ submission, CID will come to know the real status over the prices of the lands.
